Princess Beatrice and husband ‘thinking of move to US to get away from parents’ Epstein scandal’
With her father seemingly mired in perpetual scandal over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Princess Beatrice is reportedly considering an escape route.
Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are looking at a move across the pond to escape the drama, insiders say.
Both the princess and her sister Eugenie were said to be ‘mortified’ by the scandal surrounding their parents, which has seen them both come under pressure to explain their own ties with the billionaire paedophile.
Despite no suggestion or evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the sisters, files released by the US Department of Justice showed the pair had closer connections with Epstein than previously thought.
A royal source suggested that Beatrice and Mr Mozzi could now follow Prince Harry to the US in what would be a ‘fresh start’ for the couple.

The insider told Daily Mail that remaining in the UK would see Beatrice become a ‘sitting duck’ as more damning details continue to emerge about Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s past.
They added that Beatrice had been ‘hit hard’ by the crisis, particularly given she was thought to have helped convince her father to give his 2019 car crash Newsnight interview.
Mr Mozzi, who is the son of an Italian count, has been on a trip to the US, where he has been recently promoting his property and interior design company Banda in Los Angeles and Miami.
He was recently pictured on the exclusive Fisher Island, which is only accessible by boat and also shared photos of himself at the Mr C Miami hotel and relaxing in Palm Beach.
Banda posted a turnover of £2.2million in 2024 for its interior design arm alone, of which more than £750,000 was profit.
The source added that with Mr Mozzi’s business ‘roaring’ in the US, a move across the Atlantic would be a logical move for the couple.
‘A move to the United States would certainly seem obvious for them. Edo [Mr Mozzi] spends a lot of time there so I can easily see them moving there’, they said.
The pair share two daughters and Beatrice is stepmother to Mr Mozzi’s son Wolfie, from his former fiancée Dara Huang.
Both Beatrice and Eugenie have kept a very low profile since Andrew was famously pictured in the back of a police vehicle after being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Neither sister appears to be keen on the prospect of their scandal-ridden mother Sarah coming to live with them – another reason for Beatrice to favour moving abroad.
Ms Ferguson was dealt another blow this week after York councillors voted unanimously to strip her of the prestigious honour of Freedom of the City.
She was gifted the title on her marriage to Andrew in 1987.
The ex-wife of the former Duke of York was found to have exchanged dozens of emails with Epstein, many after the paedophile was arrested in 2008 for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
Embarrassing messages included one in which Ms Ferguson asked the disgraced financier to ‘just marry me’.
Another message showed she had taken her two daughters to meet Epstein just days after he was released from prison.
The former duchess herself sought refuge abroad for several weeks at an exclusive wellness clinic in Switzerland as details of her relationship with Epstein emerged at home.
