Tottenham hold internal talks over Marco Silva as Fabrizio Romano reveals manager update
Tottenham are still searching for a new manager following Igor Tudor’s domestic struggles, with internal talks now held over appointing a Premier League boss pushing for Champions League football – Marco Silva.
Tottenham Hotspur are currently in a crisis, given how poorly their 2025-26 season has gone thus far domestically.
As it stands, Spurs are on course to break an unwanted Premier League record this year, one held by Derby County, should they continue their three-month winless streak in 2026.
It is clear that something has to change for Tottenham, or the worst might well befall them – relegation, something they have avoided for almost half a century.

Tottenham have so far used two managers this campaign, with Thomas Frank taking charge in the summer before he was dismissed after just eight months following a run of poor results and a falling-out with fans.
Igor Tudor has since replaced the Dane, but the former Juventus man has not improved Spurs’ fortunes and is winless in his five Premier League games thus far.
Pressure is mounting on Tudor and, as such, Spurs, who sit just a single point above the bottom three, are considering their managerial options.
Providing insight into the situation and the names under discussion, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Marco Silva has once again emerged as a candidate.
This is not the first time Tottenham have been linked with Marco Silva. In fact, last summer, Silva was among the names under consideration following Ange Postecoglou’s sacking before they opted for Frank.
Speaking about the future of the Fulham boss, Romano said on his YouTube channel: “In terms of names appreciated by Tottenham, I wanted to bring to the table, as an exclusive update tonight, the name of Marco Silva.
“Fulham manager Marco Silva has a release clause in his contract, and is a name being mentioned internally at Tottenham in recent days. Marco Silva did a very good job at Fulham in recent years, has been on the Tottenham list before Thomas Frank last summer. Now Marco Silva has been discussed again internally at Tottenham.
“Let us see with De Zerbi, with Silva, what they decide to do with his job for present and especially for future because with Tudor, let us see what happens now, but for sure he is not staying beyond this season, even if Tottenham do not get relegated.”

Thus far this season, Silva looks to be having one of his best managerial performances in the Premier League to date, with his side on course for a European finish.
The Cottagers sit ninth in the Premier League table and are just five points behind the Champions League places.
Of course, with Fulham in a much better place, it is very unlikely Marco Silva leaves at this stage of the season; however, with his contract set to expire at the end of this campaign, he may be tempted to move to north London in the summer.
