Website on foot-and-mouth disease launched

A website on foot-and-mouth disease was launched on Friday to inform farmers, producers and the general public on the disease, measures in force, biosecurity guidelines and contact numbers for reporting suspected cases, the agriculture ministry said.
It also includes details on support for affected livestock farmers, compensation schemes and the reactivation of farms and livestock.
The public can access the platform for general information, while a Q&A section covers key issues.
The national action plan and relevant legislation are also available.
The ministry said the website will be updated regularly as the epidemiological situation develops.
