This Asus Snapdragon laptop with 16GB RAM is $400 (today only)

Affordable laptops are getting harder to find, at least if you want something new that doesn’t have terrible specs. But today only, Best Buy is offering a new Asus laptop with a Snapdragon processor and 16GB of RAM for just $399.99. That’s almost half off its $750 retail price. But again, the deal is today only (Friday the 27th).

The Vivobook 14 was one of the first Windows laptops to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X platform. That Arm processor means it won’t play the latest triple-A games or mine Bitcoin, but it’ll be an absolute beast when it comes to battery life. That makes it great if you’re primarily browsing the web or streaming video on the go. With 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, it’s well-equipped for most users. Those specs are very hard to find in a new (not refurbished) laptop below the $500 point.

The 14-inch 1920×1200 screen is a nice upgrade, though it isn’t a touch panel. Other extras include Windows Hello for face unlock, plenty of ports (double USB-C, double USB-A, HDMI), and an oversized touchpad.
