Why It’s a Big Deal
I need to transcribe a lot of quotes in my day-to-day life, and to do that, I have to use products with superior audio quality. Normally, when people talk about "the best" headphones, brands like Bose, Sony, and Sennheiser come up. But I’ve been using a pair of Skullcandy headphones for over a year now, and although it’s not the brand you think of when it comes to on-ear listening devices, they’re my personal favorite.
The biggest difference here is probably the price. The Skullcandy Crusher Evo Wireless Headphones are on sale for $100 during Amazon's Big Spring Sale, which is $110 off the original $210 price tag. Beyond that, these headphones boast over 15,000 five-star ratings on Amazon and have been purchased over 2,000 times in the past month alone, so it's surprising that more people aren't talking about them. They come in six colors, but I own the sleek and classy True Black model.

What to Know Before Buying
With up to 40 hours of battery life, these headphones are good to go for a long time. I can attest to that, too, as I’ve left them on by accident overnight and found them still alive days later. As for actual sound, these headphones deliver with dual bass drivers that make your music come to life. And perhaps best of all, they’re comfy over your ears or around your neck. I’ve often forgotten they’re on because wearing them feels so natural and subtle.
They’re convenient on the go, too. They can fold and collapse on themselves, and I do it frequently to store them in my bag. Moreover, they charge pretty quickly and have a few buttons that let you adjust the audio without looking at your Bluetooth-connected device.
In terms of price, these Skullcandy creations are cheaper than the real high-end ones from Beats, which I would consider a more direct mid-tier competitor than other major players in the market. And honestly, I’ve used both, and the more expensive option doesn’t feel or sound any better to me. So, if you want something better than budget-brand headphones but don’t want to drop $100 on AirPods, the Skullcandy Crushers are a great choice.

My Honest Thoughts
I almost only have good things to say about these headphones. They help me at work, at the gym, and when I’m on a walk listening to music. They deliver all the essentials good headphones should and go above and beyond when it comes to sound quality and battery life.
If I did have a complaint, it’d be that it’s not always easy to tell when these headphones are fully turned off. Some visual and auditory cues hint at this, but there have been a few times when I thought I had shut them down, only to reach for them hours later to find that they were still on.
That minor issue shouldn’t stop you from buying the Skullcandy Crusher Evo Wireless Headphones, especially when they’re $110 off. If you're looking for new over-ear headphones and don't want to break the bank, consider this a good choice.
