Virginia Redistricting Plan Gives 10 Seats to Pro-Abortion Democrats, 1 to Pro-Life Republican
Having just suffered through an avalanche of TV and online ads paid for by pro-abortion billionaires, Virginians are being pummeled again in a blatant campaign to virtually gerrymander all pro-life Republicans out of office.
These ads claim that Virginia’s Congressional districts are “unfair.” They have the face of famously pro-abortion president, Barak Obama, calling for “change” to “fix” our current bi-partisan Constitutional process.
What is “unfair,” however, is the grossly misleading ballot language that would “temporarily” give Democrats a lock on elections and a blatant disregard for the law that currently exists. In 2020 Virginians decided by a sweeping majority to adopt a Constitutional Amendment that created a bi-partisan commission to establish congressional lines!
The current count stands at a very fair six Democrats to 5 Republican seats. All five of the Republicans are pro-life and vote for life in Washington. None of the Democrats are pro-life.

Here’s the ballot language:
“Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia’s standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?”
“Temporarily,” in truth means forever, and promises to resume “standard redistricting process” after 2030 are not worth the paper they are written on.
If the deceptively written ballot question is passed, the new maps, drawn by pro-abortion Democrats in the General Assembly will eliminate 4 of our pro-life seats. We must not allow this to happen. We must vote NO and tell our friends to do the same.
Contrary to the ballot language, this will not be a “temporary” measure. This is a cynical move to make Virginia a haven for Democrats, like Massachusetts. Because of political gerrymandering, there hasn’t been a pro-life member of Congress elected in Massachusetts in decades!
Multiple court challenges to this proposed new constitutional amendment have been filed. One lower state court ruled against the proposed amendment, citing several steps taking by the pro-abortion Democrat led General Assembly to pass it this year.
However, that ruling has been twice overturned by the state supreme court which said the election could proceed on April 21st –and that they will provide their ruling after the ballots are cast!
Republicans in Virginia do not have the monetary resources that Virginia Democrats do to respond ot TV with ads telling folks the rest of the story. The power of the people is what is driving the response from their side.
Local republican clubs, concerned community organizations and issue groups, including Virginia Society for Human Life are driving this train to try and stop this radical agenda.
But yard signs and social media posts won’t be enough. Everyone must talk to friends, family, and companions about this threat.
People may tune out a special election in April. They may think the courts have stopped it. They may not think that it matters which way the wind blows after it’s over, but they are so wrong!
We have less than a month. Early voting is already underway.
Go vote today. Vote early, and let’s stop this train wreck. Pro-life votes will make the difference this month.
