50 Cent Responds to J. Cole's Revelation that He Wouldn't Sign Him to G-Unit
Never one to hold back his tongue, 50 Cent is at it again on social media with another post about another celeb. It was just on March 25, when 50 Cent wasted no time trolling the living legend Usher for his recent (yet surprising) public support of Diddy, despite the Bad Boy founder’s fall from grace. Just before that, the “In Da Club” rapper was engaged in a full social media beef with T.I. and his family.
This time around though, 50 Cent isn’t necessarily trolling or throwing not-so-subtle digs, but instead he’s clarifying his side of the story when it comes to rapper J. Cole. The “Crooked Smile” artist has been on a press tour of sorts for his latest album, The Fall-Off, and he recently shared that 50 Cent refused to sign him to G-Unit because of the jeans J. Cole was wearing.
J. Cole Says 50 Cent Wouldn’t Sign Him Because “His Jeans Too Tight”
J. Cole decided to sit down with rapper-turned-podcast-host Cam’ron, and during their discussion, Cam’ron essentially asked J.Cole if there were artists he knew that didn’t like him coming up the ranks. J. Cole responds, “nobody ever sh*tted on me or dubbed me.” The story then gets interesting when J. Cole shares that he heard from a source that before he got signed to a major label, someone played J. Cole’s music for 50 Cent.
As the story goes, J. Cole states, “I think 50 reaction from what I heard was, ‘I can’t sign this n*gga, his jeans too tight.’” J. Cole laughs about the incident and even admits that in hindsight, from an image perspective, it wouldn’t have made sense for him to sign to G-Unit. Take a look at the brief clip below.

50 Cent Jokingly Responds, “The Boy Just Had on Denim Spandex”
Now, 50 Cent didn’t troll J. Cole or anything in his response to the story. Instead, he jokingly doubled down on the perspective on Instagram with a post of J. Cole’s quote, captioning it:
“I’m a J Cole fan man, the boy just had on denim spandex ????WTF ????how was I supposed to know that was gonna work. @phlivenyc.”
So 50 Cent did give J. Cole props, admitting he is a fan. Even if, 50 Cent wasted no time throwing in a little quick joke.
