FA Cup 2025/26: Outright betting, quarter-final draw & preview

Sports bettors across the world will be in their element on the first weekend in April as the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 FA Cup are staged.

The prestigious tournament holds a special place in the hearts of football fans and this year’s edition has once again generated plenty of talking points.

Read on as we look at the latest outright FA Cup betting, before previewing what promises to be a thrilling weekend of action.

FA Cup 2025/26 – Outright betting

Iconic football competitions such as the FA Cup have contributed massively to the success of the online gambling industry in recent years.

Its popularity expands beyond the sports sector, attracting interest from bettors who may ordinarily not indulge in wagering on such events.

Many players who are eager to learn how to find online casinos that accept Mastercard will also have a passing interest in competitions such as the FA Cup.

They often set aside some of their online gaming bankroll to specifically wager on sports rather than focusing exclusively on their primary betting vertical.

The outright betting market garners attention from casual sports bettors, as it offers long-term interest in a single event. Here are the latest odds for the 2025/26 FA Cup:

  • Arsenal – 2/1
  • Manchester City – 11/4
  • Chelsea – 7/2
  • Liverpool – 11/2
  • West Ham United – 12/1
  • Leeds United – 14/1
  • Southampton – 66/1
  • Port Vale – 250/1

FA Cup 2025/26 – Preview

Manchester City vs Liverpool

Manchester City recently claimed the first major silverware of the season by defeating Arsenal in the League Cup at Wembley Stadium.

With the Premier League title looking beyond them and Champions League success no longer attainable, the FA Cup has taken on added importance for City.

They have breezed past Exeter City, Salford City and Newcastle United to reach the last eight and will fancy their chances of making further progress.

Liverpool have defeated Barnsley, Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers on their way to the quarter-finals, but will not find things easy at the Etihad Stadium.

City have done the double over Liverpool in the Premier League this season and look a good bet to secure their place in the last four.

Chelsea vs Port Vale

Chelsea have defeated a trio of Championship teams to reach this stage of the competition and are strong favourites to rack up another win against League One side Port Vale.

However, the manner of their most recent victory at Wrexham highlighted why it would be foolish to get too carried away with their chances of reaching the semi-final.

The Welsh club were on the wrong end of several questionable decisions by the match officials and can count themselves unfortunate not to still be in the competition.

While Port Vale have struggled in the third tier this season, their fifth-round victory over Sunderland demonstrated they still possess plenty of fighting spirit.

Chelsea should have enough quality to progress to the semi-final, but sports bettors would be well advised not get sucked into thinking they are a banker bet.

Southampton vs Arsenal

Arsenal’s disappointing 2-0 defeat against in the League Cup final ended their hopes of winning the quadruple this season.

More importantly, the result has cranked up the pressure on manager Mikel Arteta and his players heading into the final few weeks of the season.

Arteta won just one trophy since he was appointed by Arsenal in 2019 and cannot afford to end this season empty handed after being heavily backed in the transfer market.

Their quarter-final tie against Southampton is a potential banana skin, particularly given its proximity to the Champions League fixture at Sporting CP.

The Gunners’ have also suffered five defeats at St Mary’s in the last 11 years – a record which should serve as a warning to anyone who thinks they are nailed on to win the game.

West Ham United vs Leeds United

West Ham United were pushed to a penalty shoot-out by Brentford in the previous round, and another tight encounter is on the cards against Leeds United.

Leeds triumphed 2-1 when the two sides met in the league at Elland Road earlier in the season and will expect to give a good account of themselves at the London Stadium.

Danile Farke’s side defeated Norwich City 3-0 in round five and could be the value bet to make it through to the semi-finals.

An injury to Jean-Clair Todibo could scupper West Ham’s chances of playing with a back three, which could tip the scales in Leeds’ favour.

Todibo has played a key part in West Ham’s improved form under manager Nuno Espirito Santo and his absence would be a major blow to their hopes of reaching the semi-finals.
