In details obtained by The Sun, it seems Kidman was spotted getting cozy with her Scarpetta co-star and longtime pal, Simon Baker, who’s been her pal for decades. And now, insiders are revealing the truth behind the rumors.
“Nicole loves that there is talk of a relationship brewing with Simon, because it gets eyes and ears on their show,” an insider said to DailyMail. “And for now it’s innocent enough to let it be.”
Another insider added, “They are great friends who love each other, but they aren’t in love. Their relationship is strictly platonic. It is all a good result for the promotion of Scarpetta.”

Along with being longtime pals, and Kidman being the godmother to one of his children, they are currently co-starring with one another as husband and wife in Scarpetta, which is a new crime-drama show about using advanced forensic technology to unravel mysteries.
These romance rumors first started in early March after they were spotted holding hands and cozying up together at the Scarpetta afterparty in NYC.
Before that, Baker even said performing romantic scenes with her wasn’t at all odd. He previously told The Daily Telegraph: “I didn’t find it weird. But we’ve kissed on the cheek before. We’ve hugged a lot. We’ve lived in the same house.”
