Dell’s new mouse and keyboard charge in 5 seconds, last all day
Dell just released an announcement with information on all kinds of commercial PCs and notebooks in its upcoming lineup, but buried within that announcement is something that caught my eye: the Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard and Mouse.
This compact keyboard and mouse combo uses supercapacitor technology instead of traditional Lithium-ion, resulting in an astonishing new record for wireless peripheral battery performance.
According to Dell, an insanely quick charge of just 5 seconds is enough to provide up to a full day’s use. Meanwhile, 5 minutes of charging brings both keyboard and mouse back up to full, with the keyboard lasting about 3 months and the mouse about 1.5 months.
The mouse is also described as “the world’s lightest non-Lithium-ion rechargeable mouse.”
The Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard and Mouse (model KM746) will launch in North America on April 16th.
