Two teenagers arrested after man allegedly stabbed in alleyway in Swanscombe
Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an alleged alleyway stabbing.
Emergency services were called to Gunn Road, Swanscombe just before 7pm on Monday (March 23) following reports of a serious assault.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to a London hospital in a serious but stable condition. He has since been discharged.
Officers launched an investigation and initially arrested a 29-year-old man on Monday (March 23). He was later released without charge.
A 41-year-old man was arrested yesterday (March 25) in connection with the alleged attack. He was released on conditional bail.
And now an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl have been arrested by officers investigating the incident.
They were detained yesterday also, the force confirmed today (March 26), and remain in custody.
Detectives have identified the location of the alleged assault as an alleyway between Lewis Road and Sweyne Road.
It was cordoned off by officers but has since reopened.
They are now urging anyone living nearby who may have relevant information or CCTV footage to contact them on 01474 366149 quoting reference 46/46397/26.
Speaking to KentOnline earlier this week, a volunteer from the Swanscombe Neighbourhood Watch said they saw “blood everywhere” following the incident.
He added: “It was all over the road and across some walls. Something like a stabbing is so rare.”
He said at the height of the incident, there were around nine or 10 police cars, two forensic teams and a dog unit called to the area.
