Cablenet revenue hits €69.7m following major business reset

Cablenet Communication Systems PLC on Thursday announced its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2025, reporting revenue of €69.7 million alongside a broader transformation of its operations and services in Cyprus.

The company described 2025 as a pivotal year, marked not only by financial performance but by deliberate and ambitious investment aimed at reshaping its role in the market.

It said the year represented a fundamental reset of its offerings, with a transformed product portfolio, accelerated network expansion and long-term strategic commitment to delivering improved customer experiences across Cyprus.

“Cablenet remains a strategic asset for the GO Group and an important contributor to Cyprus’ digital future,” said chairman Nikhil Patil.

“The progress achieved in 2025 reinforces our confidence in the company’s growth trajectory, and we remain committed to investing in the infrastructure, capabilities and people that will build sustainable value for years to come,” he added.

At the centre of this transformation was a redefined product ecosystem built on simplicity, transparency and customer service, reflecting a shift towards more flexible and accessible offerings.

The company launched Giga-speed home internet with same-day activation and a 30-day try and buy guarantee, allowing customers to connect quickly without long-term commitments.

This approach extended across its services, including flexible TV entertainment passes and 5G Unlimited mobile plans starting from €10 per month, designed to offer greater flexibility and value.

Mobile growth was a key driver during the year, with the subscriber base rising to approximately 171,000, representing a 9 per cent increase.

This growth was supported by the rollout of 5G services and the 5G Unlimited portfolio, offering unlimited data, entertainment features and international connectivity.

“This is more than a product refresh. It is a complete reset of what subscribers should expect from their digital provider,” said chief executive officer Ioannis Mavridis.

We listened carefully to our subscribers,” he contined. “They want faster access, fewer restrictions, transparent value and total flexibility. Our new portfolio delivers exactly that across mobile, internet, TV and everything that comes next.”

On the fixed network side, Cablenet continued its infrastructure push, expanding coverage to 235,000 homes connected, passed or covered.

This expansion reflects the company’s ambition to deliver future-ready high-speed connectivity to households and businesses across the island.

A notable development during the year was the introduction of HBO in Cyprus through a telecom partnership, bringing premium content to subscribers through bundled services.

In the business segment, Cablenet strengthened its position, serving 5,198 businesses with integrated broadband, cloud and connectivity solutions.

The company said it sees ongoing potential in this segment, driven by demand for reliable and high-performance digital infrastructure.

“2025 was a year of real transformation. We launched Giga Internet with no commitment, rolled out 5G Unlimited, brought HBO to Cyprus for the first time, and expanded our network to 235,000 homes,” said Mavridis.

“But this is just the beginning. Our subscribers can expect a continuous flow of innovation, always guided by one principle putting their real needs at the centre of everything we do,” he added.

Finally, Cablenet said that it is entering 2026 with “clear momentum, expanding its mobile and fibre footprint, enhancing its digital services and content offering, and continuing to build its position as Cyprus’ leading full digital lifestyle partner for homes, families and businesses alike”.
