Dejan Kulusevski has moved to ease fresh concerns after footage of him limping during the international break sparked alarm among Tottenham supporters.
Club football is currently on hold, with attention turning to the international break over the next two weeks.
Spurs players are well represented on the international stage, with many jetting off to represent their respective countries.
However, while many Spurs stars are out representing their nations, 15 Tottenham players are at Hotspur Way working on rehabilitation and their fitness ahead of the Premier League run-in.
Tottenham Dejan Kulusevski injury update after Sweden concern
Kulusevski has been sidelined since last year with a patella injury and is yet to fully recover, but has still travelled away from north London during the international break.
Deki linked up with the Sweden national team as they push for a place at the 2026 World Cup, despite not being fit for selection.
Graham Potter had earlier expressed hope that Kulusevski would be available for this month’s qualifiers, but that has not materialised.
Having joined up with his team-mates, Kulusevski was seen limping, raising concerns given his lengthy absence, with some Spurs fans wondering if he will ever kick a ball again.
He has since addressed those worries on Instagram, explaining the reason behind it and offering reassurance over his recovery.
“Just to clarify things. I am limping because I had a small intervention in the knee two weeks ago. Went in and took out what not suppose to be there. Knee is great now. Thanks for all the support God is the greatest, always.”
Spurs face Kulusevski absence as recovery timeline remains unclear
With Dejan Kulusevski still not back on the field ten months after his surgery, it is very unlikely he will feature again for Tottenham this season.
Perhaps he could return during the World Cup for his national team, should they progress through the qualifying rounds.
It is rather unfortunate for Tottenham, but fans would prefer the midfielder to recover fully and avoid any further setbacks rather than being rushed back only to suffer another injury weeks later.
Spurs, however, will expect to receive at least a couple of injury boosts after the international break, with five players potentially returning to training.
