Drug bust in Khunti: Four arrested in Khunti with 39.78 kg of poppy bulbs; Police confirm involvement in opium cultivation
In a noteworthy operation, the Khunti police swooped in on Jariagarh, detaining four local men and confiscating approximately 40 kg of poppy bulbs along with 6 kg of an opium-like substance. During questioning, the suspects admitted to their involvement in cultivating poppy for the purpose of opium extraction.
