Goretzka targeted by Napoli, Milan, Inter and more as free agent
Leon Goretzka will be a free agent this summer, so Napoli are the latest contenders for his signature, joining Milan, Inter and Arsenal.
The 31-year-old is only under contract with Bayern Munich until June 30, and does not seem to have any intention of signing an extension.
This is making the Germany international into one of the most appetising figures on the transfer market, and several Serie A sides have already shown an interest.
Goretzka drawing Serie A interest
Milan and Inter are ready to duel, but the Corriere dello Sport now confirms that Napoli are keeping a close eye on the situation too.
It would be the second consecutive summer picking up a veteran for free, after they snapped up Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City.
Other clubs intrigued by Goretzka include Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal.
Napoli’s midfield is in flux, as Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa and Scott McTominay are both discussing new contracts, while De Bruyne just returned from a long injury lay-off.
Stanislav Lobotka’s current deal runs to June 2027, but there is a release clause worth a reported €25m.
