Arsenal plot €35M raid for one of Brazil’s brightest talents, face Real Madrid & Man City battle
Arsenal are looking to sign a quality right back in the summer, and they have identified Wesley Franca as a target.
The explosive Brazilian has established himself as a key player for AS Roma, and he will cost around €35 million. He is also a target for clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City. According to reports from Spain, the South American footballer has a contract with Roma until 2030, and Arsenal will have to pay the asking price if they want to get the deal done.
The 22-year-old is excellent, going forward, and he could add a new dimension to the Arsenal attack as well. The North London club is expected to sanction Ben White’s departure in the summer, and Franca could be the ideal replacement. He could contribute at both ends of the pitch.
The Brazilian is quite young, and he will only improve with coaching and experience. He has all the attributes to develop into a star for Arsenal in future. At 22, he has plenty of room for development, and he could easily justify the investment. The €35 million deal could even look like a bargain in future.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can beat Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is yet to make the desired impact, and it is no surprise that the Spanish club is keen on the Brazilian. At Manchester City, they have been using. Matheus Nunes as the makeshift right back. They need a more specialist option in that area of the pitch, and Wesley would be an outstanding addition.
All three clubs have the financial muscle to pay the asking price, and it will be interesting to see where the Brazilian ends up.
