Trump officials signal advance of possible criminal charges against John Brennan

The administration of President Donald Trump is signaling the advance of possible criminal charges against John Brennan, who was picked by Barack Obama to run the CIA during his regime and was a prominent player behind the lies that made up the Russiagate collusion theory.

That purportedly was launched by Hillary Clinton, who failed twice in her attempts to be elected to the Oval Office, to distract voters from her own email scandal, and apparently involved a long list of Democrat operatives, up to and include Obama.

Brennan is known to be “one of the most prominent figures in the discredited Russia investigation from President Donald Trump’s first term,” according to the Washington Examiner.

He apparently is under investigation by a grand jury now and among the issues being reviewed is the fact that he apparently delivered false testimony, under oath, to Congress, reports have confirmed.

Now House Republicans have voted to send classified transcripts linked to Brennan to the Department of Justice.

That move “signals the Trump administration is advancing a possible criminal case” against him, the report said.

The vote was in the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Republicans backed the move while Democrats, who share their party loyalties with Brennan, objected.

The report said the criminal inquiry is linked to the committee’s own investigation of the episode in which Democrats made up claims to try to link Trump’s 2016 campaign to Russia.

The committee’s report was finished in 2020 but not declassified for release until last year.

It revealed that Brennan allegedly manipulated evidence to make it align with his claims Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to help Trump win.

The Washington Examiner confirmed there actually was no evidence for that claim, but the fabrication “allowed the FBI to pursue a yearslong criminal investigation into whether Trump’s campaign sought to accept Putin’s help.”

Included in the material are interviews about Brennan as well as one interview with Brennan himself.

“Brennan helped initiate the counterintelligence investigation into Trump’s campaign despite having very little evidence to justify doing so. The Russia investigation has remained a flashpoint in partisan battles for nearly a decade, particularly after the Trump administration began releasing documents last year that showed the FBI and CIA relied on opposition research funded by Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton, to open their counterintelligence investigation while burying evidence that emerged at the time to suggest the claims of Russian collusion had no merit,” the report confirmed.

Brennan’s own lawyers have confirmed he is a target of a grand jury review.

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, of the House Judiciary Committee, earlier pushed the DOJ to pursue criminal charges against Brennan over “alleged false testimony Brennan gave in 2023 regarding the origins of the Russia investigation,” the report said.

That conspiracy against Trump has been called, by constitutional law professor and expert Jonathan Turley, the “the greatest political hoax in history.”

“Yes, there was a Russian collusion conspiracy, but not the one that the media relentlessly pushed during the first Trump term,” Turley wrote. “He said the “real Russia conspiracy” at the time was the Democrats’ “creation of a false narrative to kneecap the first Trump administration.”

He explained:

At issue is what could be the greatest political hit job in history. Of course, the growing evidence of this conspiracy continues to be buried by one of its key components: the media. Nevertheless, the “truth will out,” and it appears to be coming out in Florida.

Headed by Jason A. Reding Quiñones, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, the investigation is building on information uncovered by House and Senate committees that was long buried by the Biden administration. That evidence appears to show a knowing effort to manufacture a Russian conspiracy hoax at the urging of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
