A Prayer To Stop Self-sabotaging Your Own Blessings

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and your breakthrough isn’t the enemy, or other people, or even your circumstances — it’s you. Maybe you push away good things because you don’t feel like you deserve them yet. Maybe you overthink until you talk yourself out of opportunities God is trying to give you. Maybe you self-destruct right when things start going well because some part of you is still convinced it won’t last anyway. If that’s you, this prayer is for you. God,

I’ve been praying for breakthrough, for new opportunities, for better relationships, for peace. But the truth is, every time you start to open a door, I find a way to close it. I overthink until I talk myself out of it. I doubt until I convince myself I’m not ready. I self-destruct right when things start going well because some broken part of me doesn’t believe I deserve good things.

Today, I’m asking you to break this cycle. Heal whatever wound inside me keeps whispering that I’m not worthy of the blessings you’re trying to give me. Uproot the fear that makes me run from what I’ve been praying for. Silence the voice that says I’ll mess it up anyway, so why even try.

Help me stop standing in my own way. Help me receive what you’re offering without second-guessing it, without sabotaging it, without pushing it away because it feels too good to be true. Teach me that I don’t have to earn your goodness — I just have to trust it and walk in it.

I refuse to be my own biggest obstacle anymore. From today forward, I’m making space for every blessing you’ve been trying to give me.
