Peace and Sport launches the global #WhiteCard 2026 campaign in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco

In Monaco, Peace and Sport is launching the 2026 edition of its global digital campaign #WhiteCard, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II. On the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, this initiative mobilizes the international community to highlight the essential role of sport as a catalyst for peace, inclusion, and development, particularly for younger generations.

Learn, play, and grow up in peace: a right for every child

Around the world, millions of children are growing up in unstable environments where access to education and opportunities for development is compromised. Today, 251 million children are out of school, deprived not only of a fundamental right but also of skills essential to their development.

In the face of these challenges, Peace and Sport emphasizes that sport is a strategic tool for peace, inclusion, and child development. When properly structured, it helps build key skills such as empathy, cooperation, resilience, and conflict management—all of which are essential foundations for peaceful societies.

An international campaign led by the Champions of Peace, sports figures, and institutions

From March 25 to April 6, several initiatives will mark the campaign. Among them are an event organized in partnership with Provale, featuring professional rugby players; an initiative led by the Vuelta cycling race; and speeches by Champions of Peace. Cheick Sallah Cissé, an Olympic champion from Côte d’Ivoire, will speak at the ChangeNOW summit in Paris, while Julian Agliardi, a Franco-American skateboarder, will address the United Nations headquarters during the conference dedicated to the International Day of Sport for Peace and Development.

Led by the Champions of Peace, the #WhiteCard digital campaign invites everyone to get involved by sharing their White Card on social media. Much more than just a symbol, this gesture becomes a visible, collective action in support of peace and inclusion. Every share helps amplify the message and turns each participant into a true leader of this global movement.
