Whether you work out daily or plan to work out more regularly this spring, sports bras often play a part in making or breaking a workout (especially from my experience). As someone who works out three times a week and walks at least five miles a couple of times a week due to regular visits to Walt Disney World, I’ve found some of the best sports bras on the market. These span different brands, budgets, and styles to match my workout and style preferences (which for me, change monthly).

Since I struggle to maintain good posture when working out and when working on my computer, the Forme Power Bra has been a game-changer. You may have heard of Forme if you’re a fan of Taylor Swift, as she was seen wearing the posture-correcting bra during her Eras Tour. For me, I was impressed by how quickly I observed an improvement in my posture when I put on the bra due to Forme’s patented muscle memory technology. It’s important to mention that this bra has a snug fit, and might not be the best fit if you’re looking for something looser. While this bra may take a bit of getting used to, I find its benefits worth it. I highly recommend stretching out the armholes a couple of times, as is advised on Forme’s website. I moved each of the arm holes in a circle about 10 times before wearing.

There’s no doubt that I get hot and sweaty a lot after 30 minutes on the Stairmaster, which is why the Thirdlove TempSync Adjustable Sports Bra is one of my go-to picks. This bra delivers comfort and coolness via its 37.5 technology. Despite its hook-and-eye black closure, I do not experience any back-digging and am especially a fan of the flat seams. I find this bra so comfortable that I do not want to take it off after my workouts (which is usually not the case). While more of a personal preference, I like that this sports bra provides extra coverage, which makes me feel more comfortable wearing it in public or using it as a shirt within an athleisure outfit.

If you’re looking for a sports bra for high-impact workouts, the POPFLEX Superbra 2.0 is a solid pick. Since it has a molded pad, this bra offers more coverage than similar options. I like that this bra is more modest but offers a hint of mesh to complement its sweetheart neckline. I found myself adjusting the band upon first wear, and like that, there are four sets of clasps to adjust as needed. Make sure to note that you cannot remove the padding from this bra and that its band is on the thicker side.

As someone who engages in cardio workouts almost every time I visit the gym, I can rely on the Athleta Interval Sports Bra. Since I prefer a lightweight bra, I appreciate its weightless feel, which stays on and moves with me. While I have not removed the pads from the built-in pockets, I like that it is an option. Since I spend a lot of time in Florida (and often work out in the sun), its UPF 40+ is a bonus to protect my skin against the sun’s harmful rays. Compared to some other sports bras, this one is soft and breathable, but keeps the chest area comfortably compressed.

Fabletics Principal Color Block Longline Medium Impact Bra
Best for Stylish Workouts
As someone who likes to work out in style, the Fabletics Principal Color Block Longline Medium Impact Bra is one of my top choices. I like that I can feel the pads when wearing this bra, as it gives me a sense of comfort. That said, they can be removed for a pad-free feel or look. While I tried this sports bra in the black/midnight/classic white color, there are more than 15 to choose from across the core and limited color options. I like not having to deal with strap slides when wearing this bra and appreciate that I can simply slide it over my head, thanks to its four-way stretch, and don’t have to deal with any intense pulling.

Lululemon Energy Zip-Front High-Support Bra
Best for Zipper Support
If you’re looking for a sports bra with some extra support in the form of a zipper, don’t rule out the Lululemon Energy Zip-Front High-Support Bra. I like that the zipper does not slide down and that there is a hidden bra hook, so I don’t have to worry about feeling exposed during my workouts or the zipper accidentally unfastening. The back of this bra is extremely stretchy, and its straps, which cross at the back, are easily adjustable. While this bra feels silky, its sweat-wicking fabric makes it easy for me to run and sweat without feeling it too much.
