Thunderstorms and snow across the island, skies clear on Thursday
Tuesday starts off with isolated showers, mainly along the coast, with rainy weather spreading to the rest of the island in the afternoon.
Thunderstorms with hailstones can be expected in some areas, as well as snow or sleet on Troodos, where the depth of snow on Tuesday morning was 25cm.
Winds will be a southwest gentle to moderate breeze of 3 to 4 Beaufort, over slight to moderate seas.
Temperatures will reach 19C inland and along the coast, and 7C in the highest mountains.
Tuesday night will be cloudy with isolated showers and possibly thunderstorms with hailstones along the coast. Snow or sleet can be expected in the mountains.
Towards dawn, mist or fog will form inland and to the east.
Winds will be a variable gentle breeze of 3 Beaufort over slight to moderate seas.
Temperatures will drop to 6C inland, 10C along the coast and 1C in the highest mountains, where frost will form.
Rain and isolated thunderstorms will continue on Wednesday and Thursday, with hailstones and possible snow or sleet on Troodos. Skies will start clearing on Thursday afternoon, with clouds gathering again on Friday and a slight rise in temperatures.
