‘Bluey’ Is Now at Disneyland & It Really Is the Best Day, Ever
The most famous Blue Heeler in the world has her very own show at Disneyland: That’s right, Bluey has arrived at Disnyeland, Anaheim, making its new home at the Fantasyland Theatre, located near It’s a Small World. The all-new experience is called “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” and I can confirm that it really lives up to its title.
The experience opened to the general public March 22, but SheKnows was able to take a sneak peek the day before and see the sights for ourselves. “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” includes live performances throughout the day from Bluey and Bingo (of course), musicians, a troupe of singers and dancers, and lots and lots of bubbles (I recommend downloading the Disneyland app so that you always know when the next performance will be, and you can plan your day around it). “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” also hosts games, storytelling, dance-alongs, a real-life Fairy Garden and Gnome Village, and you can race Barky Boats and ride on Blue’s helicopter stump.
Make sure you’ve got ample phone storage, because there are near-infinite photo opps for your whole family, whether you want to pose in front of Bluey’s school class photo, or want to pretend that you’re hitching a ride with Bluey in the family car.
When you’re ready for a snack, head on over to the Troubadour Tavern, where you’ll find a bunch of Bluey-themed meals, like Pizza Girls Baked Potato (a pizza sauce, sausage, pepperoni, bacon bits, and mozzarella-stuffed baked potato), Poffertjes! Poffertjes! (mini Dutch pancakes slathered in condensed milk and butter), the Magic “Asparagus” Pretzel (a white chocolate-coated pretzel stick), Lime Ice Block Drink (pineapple limeade with coconut milk and a watermelon popsicle), and more (see the full menu here).
“Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” is truly a must if you’re planning a family day at Disneyland, or if you’re one of million adults who just love Bluey—there’s truly something for everyone. As for me and my family, my 1.5-year-old daughter and ten-year-old niece had the time of their lives. “I get to tell everyone at school that I saw the real Bluey and Bingo,” Annabelle told me in the car ride home. You can take a little piece of the show home with you in the form of the Bluey Sipper Bluey-shaped water bottle or Bluey popcorn bucket (available for purchase at the park).
