The Senate stands adjourned until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of House Message with respect to S.1383, the legislative vehicle for the SAVE Act.

The Senate will recess from 1:00pm until 2:10pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

At approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #697 Colin McDonald, of California, to be an Assistant Attorney General.

Following disposition of the McDonald nomination, Senator Thune intends to return to consideration of the House Message with respect to S.1383, the legislative vehicle for the SAVE Act. Roll call votes are expected when that occurs. Another message will be sent when more information is available.

During Tuesday’s session, the Senate is expected to consider a motion to discharge S.J.Res.116 (Murphy), Iran War Powers, from the Foreign Relations Committee. Another message will be sent when more information about timing is known.
