Planned Parenthood That Killed Woman in Botched Abortion Injures More Women

Once more, serious concerns surround the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Fort Collins, CO, after two back-to-back medical emergencies took place in March—one of them flagged as potentially life-threatening, both raising urgent questions about transparency and patient safety.

First Emergency

On March 4, paramedics were dispatched to the facility for what radio dispatch classified as a “Charlie Medical” type of emergency. This designation is not minor—it typically signals a potentially life-threatening emergency requiring immediate intervention.

Operation Rescue staff requested 911 records through the Freedom of Information Act, but those records are still being processed by the Fort Collins Police Department and have not yet been released.

“Given past patterns in similar cases, it is reasonable to expect that when those records are finally disclosed, they will be heavily redacted—leaving critical details about what happened hidden from public view,” says Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Second Emergency, Just One Week Later

On March 11, another emergency call was made. This time, more information could be found. A 40-year-old woman was reportedly experiencing bleeding following what was described as a “completed abortion.” The radio dispatch files obtained by Operation Rescue indicate that blood loss was estimated at “400 units, PPS” (as heard on dispatch clip), suggesting a significant hemorrhage requiring urgent medical attention.

“It is safe to say that substantial blood loss is never routine. In any clinical setting, hemorrhage can escalate rapidly, leading to shock, organ failure, or worse if not promptly controlled. Even without full clarification that unredacted 911 records could reveal, the current context points to a serious and potentially unstable condition,” Newman adds.

Despite this significant blood loss, the incident was classified as “Bravo Medical”—a lower-priority designation than the previous “Charlie” call. That discrepancy raises immediate concerns. How does a case involving active bleeding and significant blood loss receive a less urgent classification?

Ambulances Requesting More Help

Dispatch records also indicate a second ambulance was requested to the scene. Just weeks ago, Operation Rescue reported on another emergency at this location where the assigned ambulance immediately called for more assistance. In that instance, assigned responders requested that a second ambulance bring bags of blood for a woman experiencing “heavy complications.”

“With so many women continuously being wheeled out of a Planned Parenthood where one woman has already died,” says Newman, “it seems possible emergency responders are making sure more help is on the scene for these calls, possibly not trusting that Planned Parenthood staff have been truthful about the complications.”

In this new emergency, was the severity fully communicated to dispatchers by Planned Parenthood staff, or was it minimized? These distinctions are not trivial. Emergency codes directly affect response urgency, resource allocation, and how quickly a patient receives advanced care.

“Misclassification—intentional or not—can have serious consequences,” says Newman.  “Operation Rescue has long raised alarms about patterns reflecting underreporting or downplaying of abortion-related complications at this is the same facility involved in the death of Lexi Arguello, a case where Planned Parenthood delayed emergency care and likely downplayed the symptoms of a catastrophic complication to emergency responders.”

Behind Closed Doors

Now, with two emergencies occurring just days apart, one involving significant bleeding but coded as less severe, the pattern of secrecy is difficult to ignore.

Until clearer answers are provided, one question remains unavoidable: are these emergencies being fully and accurately represented—or are staff being instructed to downplay injuries behind closed doors?

Newman adds, “Patients deserve full transparency when medical emergencies caused by abortion occur—and the state of Colorado, which refuses to license or inspect these clinics, is abandoning women and giving abortion clinics a free pass. The public deserves accountability, and emergency responders deserve accurate information so they can act with the urgency required. The abortion cartel wants secrecy, but Operation Rescue will not stop until the truth prevails.”
