Kelly Osbourne’s ‘Difficult’ Chapter After Ozzy's Death Leads to a Major Personal Decision
Kelly Osbourne made a very personal decision in the wake of her father Ozzy Osbourne’s death.
The 41-year-old TV personality and her fiancé, Sid Wilson, have called it quits after a seven-month engagement, according to the Daily Mail. The former couple got engaged at her dad’s final concert with Black Sabbath in July, which happened almost three weeks before his passing. They share a three-year-old son, Sidney, so they will still be in each other’s lives.
Kelly’s mental and physical well-being were the source of major concern after Ozzy’s passing, and a close pal told the U.K. outlet that it’s been a “difficult” time for her. “Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father. The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she’s been doing everything she can to cope,” they explained.
The split might seem sudden to outsiders, but the source shared that the former duo was “facing challenges in their relationship for some time.” Kelly and Wilson reportedly believe that “separating is the best path forward,” even though they had a long history of friendship together before their relationship turned romantic. They originally met in 1999 when his band, Slipknot, toured with Ozzfest.
The breakup is a far cry from Kelly’s romantic professions of love on her Instagram account on Valentine’s Day in 2022. “After 23 years of friendship, I can’t believe where we have ended up. You are my best friend, my soulmate, and I am so deeply in love with you, Sidney George Wilson,” she wrote about her then-boyfriend in the caption.
Kelly has admitted to her fans that she’s been struggling after her father passed away on July 22, 2025, and she’s asked for their “compassion” — not their criticism.
“There is a special kind of cruelty in hurting someone who is already going through something deeply painful,” she wrote in an Instagram Story in March. “Being kicked while I’m down, having my pain questioned, my struggles turned into gossip, and being abandoned when I need love and support the most – none of this reflects strength. It only shows a lack of compassion and character.”
Describing it as “one of the hardest periods of my life,” she refused to be “dehumanized like this.”
It’s a new chapter for Kelly to navigate; one filled with some unexpected changes in 2026.
