A Prayer For When You Feel Spiritually Under Attack
Finding peace starts with surrendering our worries to the universe and trusting that God’s guidance will meet us in the middle of our uncertainty. Best-selling author of Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon, reminds us to trust God’s timing, embrace patience, and lean on His presence through every season of life.
If you’ve been feeling off lately — more anxious, more drained, more discouraged than usual, it might not just be in your head. Sometimes the enemy attacks hardest right before your breakthrough, right before you step into something new, right before God does something big in your life.
If that’s where you are today, this prayer is for you. Read it slowly. Pray it out loud. And remember: you are covered, you are protected, and no attack against you will stand.
God,
Something feels off, and I know you see it. My anxiety feels heightened. My peace keeps getting disrupted no matter how hard I try to hold onto it. I can feel the enemy working overtime to shake my faith and make me forget who I am in you.
God, I’m standing in front of you today and asking you to fight this battle for me. Cover me with your protection in every area under attack — my mind, my relationships, my purpose, my peace. Break every plan and every scheme that is being used against me. Silence the voices that aren’t from you. Shut down the thoughts pulling me into fear.
Remind me that I am not defenseless. I know you are greater than anything that is trying to harm me. No weapon formed against me will prosper — not the spiritual ones, or the mental ones, or the ones I can’t even see yet.
Strengthen my spirit where I feel weakest, God. Guard my heart where I feel most vulnerable. Help me stand firm in your truth even when everything feels shaky. I refuse to let the enemy steal my joy. This attack will not win.
Amen.
