TikTok Star Arrested & Charged With Rape

TikTok star Benjamin Gleason has been arrested and charged with rape, TMZ reports.

The internet personality was taken into custody on Friday, March 20 to Columbia County Jail in New York. He faces a long list of charges including rape, sexual assault by forcible compulsion, and predatory sexual assault committed against more than 1 person.

Gleason currently has over one million followers on TikTok, where he regularly posts lip-sync videos and musical performances. He also has a dedicated fan base with whom he speaks about his boderline personality disorder, which affects his day-to-day life.

The influencer previously struggled with substance abuse problems, though he has reportedly been sober for two years according to a GoFundMe set up in his name.

"I'm aware that most of my following are [from] the younger generation—mostly girls," he explained in a recent TikTok post. "If you're struggling I would never ask you to help me over your struggle. But my teeth are really messed up and they're getting worse, and I really really do need to get them fixed."

Some of Gleason's most recent content includes replying to fan comments, opening mystery boxes, and discussing his love for rock music.

"2 counts of rape, 1 count of predatory sexual assault committed against more than 1 person, 1 count of criminal sexual act in the 1st degree by forcible compulsion, 1 count of 2nd-degree aggravated sexual abuse, 1 count of first-degree sexual abuse, and 1 count of criminal sex acts conducted with person incapable of consent."
