How Jessica Biel Is Reacting To Justin Timberlake's Arrest Video: 'There's A Reason They Pushed Back'

It’s been almost two years since Justin Timberlake was arrested for a DWI amid his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, but Jessica Biel would rather move on.

Unfortunately, the March 20 release of the police body camera footage from the June 2024 arrest is going viral just about everywhere on the internet, and Biel is “not happy” about the situation, per People. The 45-year-old singer tried to stop the release of the videos because “it obviously doesn’t portray him in the best light,” said a Biel insider.

“There’s a reason they pushed back on the footage being released,” they added.

For The Sinner star, it’s “stressful” to endure the “renewed attention” surrounding the case because it’s rather embarrassing for the entire family. During the field sobriety tests, Timberlake didn’t seem to comprehend what the police officers were asking him to do.

“These are, like, hard tests. My heart’s racing,” he said in the video, released by TMZ.

The former NSYNC musician was polite throughout the proceedings, but there were awkward moments — like when he tried to explain that he was a public figure.

“Yeah, I’m on tour … I’m on a world tour,” Timberlake said when asked if he was on vacation in the Sag Harbor, New York area.

The cop continued to probe his answer, and Timberlake responded, “It’s hard to explain … umm … I’m Justin Timberlake.”

On March 2, Timberlake tried to stop the release of the video footage in Suffolk County Supreme Court, citing that the arrest video would cause “economic and personal hardship,” and cause “severe and irreparable harm” to his “personal and professional reputation,” per KTLA.

Timberlake’s lawyers reached a settlement in the matter ahead of the video’s release.

“Petitioner had an opportunity to review the footage respondents intend to disseminate, as redacted, related to petitioner’s June 18, 2024, traffic stop and arrest,” reads the notice of settlement, per Billboard Pro. “Petitioner agrees that the footage respondents intend to release, as redacted, does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.”

Despite ongoing divorce rumors, Biel continues to remain “supportive of Justin.” Still, the People source noted that “she’s also not afraid to express when she’s disappointed in certain decisions. This was one of those moments.”
