During this week’s finale, titled “Harvest Moon,” Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) got engaged and after a voiceover from Elizabeth, a car comes down the main street and pulls over in front of the Visitor’s Center.
Then, viewers see a women’s foot stepping out of the car before the camera pans up to see Abigail standing there.
As she smiles and looks around, she says, “It’s good to be home.”
This surprise cameo in the season finale tees up Lori‘s return in season 14, which was announced late last year. She is set to appear in six episodes of the next season, set to film this year and debut in 2027.
Hallmark Media’s head of programming Michelle Vicary previously told People, “Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties. At its core the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”
If you missed it, another actress recently addressed a possible return to the show after appearing in an emotional episode of season 13.
