BTS are getting defiant on their new song, “Hooligan.”
The rebellious track is part of their new studio album Arirang released on Friday (March 20), which marks their first comeback since their mandatory military enlistment.
The rowdy anthem stays true to the title of the track, as well as the spirit of the group and their commitment to not conforming to the norm.

A “hooligan” is defined as a usually young man who engages in rowdy or violent behavior, especially as part of a group or gang.
“Watch this, watch this beat goin’ hooligan / We pop out, we actin’ a fool again / Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, hooligan / Watch this, watch this beat goin’ hooligan,” j-hope declares off the top of the track.
“I go cuckoo crazy, loco, save me, woo / Like El Cucuy, don’t gotta spell it out to know what’s good, woo,” Suga declares in English and Korean. (El Cucuy is a mythical creature in Mexican and Latin American folklore, like the boogeyman.)
