Insiders Detail the ‘Complaints During Filming’ of Taylor Frankie Paul’s Canceled Bachelorette Season
It seems Taylor Frankie Paul’s domestic violence investigation, and the new video, didn’t surprise everyone. In fact, insiders and sources alike have spilled that people even came forward, concerned about her behavior, to ABC while filming The Bachelorette.
Many inside sources recently told the Naughty But Nice Substack that people actually came forward with concerns about Paul’s behavior on the set of The Bachelorette.
One insider said, “This wasn’t something they discovered later. It was happening while they were filming.” They also added, “They didn’t stop production. They pushed forward.”
Another inside source said, “There were complaints during filming. People spoke up — but nothing changed.”
Along with that, another source said the contestants were even aware of her anger. “Several of the men knew she had a temper while they were there,” the source said. “They saw it firsthand.”
They added, “She pulled it together when she had to. At least while cameras were on…. This didn’t come out of nowhere after filming. It was happening during filming — and they ignored it.”

So, the star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was charged with numerous offenses following a 2023 incident.
Back on Feb. 17, 2023, Paul was arrested after her ex, Dakota Mortensen, called the police on her, claiming she had hit him in front of her two children, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Tate Paul.
Paul was charged with one felony count of aggravated assault and two felony counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, along with one misdemeanor count each of child abuse and criminal mischief. However, she submitted a plea in abeyance to a third-degree felony count of aggravated assault, and got the other charges dropped to a misdemeanor in exchange for probation for three years.
Then, in March 2026, the infamous video was released that showed Paul putting Mortensen in a headlock as well as throwing metal barstool chairs at him (and inadvertently hitting her daughter in the head with one). After that, police confirmed there’s an open “domestic assault investigation” between Paul and Mortensen in March 2026, with both claiming domestic violence on both sides.
Since then, her season of The Bachelorette has been canceled, season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been put on hold, and she’s temporaily lost custody of her and Mortensen’s child Ever.
