$50 million to your name, but you won’t spend $100 to avoid driving drunk.
The bodycam footage from Justin Timberlake’s June 2024 DWI arrest in Sag Harbor has been released after he spent nearly 2 years trying to block it.
The 18-minute video shows Timberlake stepping out of a silver BMW shortly after midnight on June 18, 2024. He’d been pulled over for running a stop sign and failing to maintain his lane.
He told the officer he’d had 1 martini at The American Hotel.
Then the field sobriety tests started.
On the heel-to-toe walk, he lost his balance on the first attempt. The officer demonstrated the test again. He tried a second time and still couldn’t hold steady.
When asked to position his arms, he appeared confused, held them outward, and apologized. “I’ve never done this before,” he said.
He spoke slowly. He swayed. He told the officer his heart was racing.
He refused the breathalyzer.
Officers handcuffed him and placed him in the patrol car. A woman arrived and asked the officers if they were really arresting him. She brought up his songs and asked them to let him go.
Timberlake pled guilty in September 2024 to the reduced charge of driving while ability impaired, a traffic violation. His lawyers filed a motion on March 2, 2026, arguing the footage would cause “reputational harm, unwanted attention, irreversible privacy violation.” The court released it anyway on March 20, 2026.
