AGAIN: Sarah Huckabee Sanders ask to leave ‘hateful’ restaurant … in ‘friendly’ Arkansas
Leftists in recent years over and over have exhibited their intolerance and even hatred of the people with political views with which they disagree.
Who has not noticed the thousands of references to President Donald Trump as “Hitler” and his supporters as “Nazis”?
And it’s trickled down to other Republicans. Years ago Sarah Huckabee Sanders, then working in the White House with Trump, was told to leave a Washington Red Hen restaurant because employees there refused to tolerate another’s opinions.
It’s happened again and constitutional expert Jonathan Turley has issued a warning against following such extremist ideology.
“The most recent targeting of Sanders presents a moral choice for the left. If you rationalize this action or continue to patronize restaurants like the Croissanterie Restaurant, you have made a choice. You have embraced the intolerance and hatred sweeping over this nation,” he said.
It was a restaurant by that name whose chefs, Jill McDonald and Wendy Schay, recently told Sanders to leave.
Last week I was having lunch with two other moms at a restaurant when the owner approached a member of the State Police Executive Protection Detail and said my presence made their employees feel threatened and told us to leave.

Gov. Sarah Sanders was ordered to leave The Croissanterie in Little Rock because some of the gay staff got triggered by her presence. The staffers said they felt threatened and uncomfortable. Sounds like some freedom-loving Arkansans need to man some picket lines outside this…

When intolerant & bigoted business owners tell 1/2 of public to not come we should be gracious & comply as my Daughter/Governor did. But shouldn’t you express the hate BEFORE she ate, paid & tipped? @SarahHuckabee was asked to leave https://t.co/MG7V5I7Xt8

The Gateway Pundit explained the Little Rock, Arkansas, restaurant made the claim that her presence, with others, made workers uncomfortable.
“Last week I was having lunch with two other moms at a restaurant when the owner approached a member of the State Police Executive Protection Detail and said my presence made their employees feel threatened and told us to leave,” Sanders explained. “Arkansans are known for their warm hospitality, and while that restaurant didn’t meet that standard, my administration will continue to focus on lifting Arkansans up, not tearing others down.”
Reports confirmed the employees actually served food and accept her payment, plus a tip, before whining about her presence.
The now-beleaguered company said in a statement, “Allowing her to stay risked being perceived as a lack of support for the community that makes up the majority of our team, as well as their families and friends.”
It was back in 2018 when Sanders got similar treatment from a Red Hen restaurant in Washington.
Turley explained the rude behavior at the restaurant: “One person yelled at her and flipped her off as she left with her friends and security.”
The restaurant statement said its officials supported “our employees and guests who expressed they were uncomfortable.”
Turley said, “We have seen various restaurants refusing to serve Trump supporters, conservatives, and even those deemed allies. Democratic members of Congress have defended such actions and even encouraged liberals to disrupt meals of conservatives.
“There have been virtually no condemnations from leading Democrats, who either fear or support such mob actions,” he said.
He explained, “Rage is a curious emotion. It is the ultimate release. It allows you to do things and say things that you would not otherwise do or say. That is why it is addictive and contagious. What people will not admit is that they like it. It allows them to hate completely; to dispense with notions of decency or civility.
“This restaurant yielded to hate and intolerance to appease not only its employees but the radical left,” he said. “For all of their superficial expressions of reluctance, Jill McDonald and Wendy Schay chose hate over tolerance.
“Jill McDonald and Wendy Schay appear to want to cater to the rage and make their food exclusively available to those with whom they and their employees agree politically. We will have to see if that is a winning business strategy, but most of us have little appetite for their type of culinary-based hate,” he said.
