Chicago set for three days of 60+ degree temps
Chicago is slated for a dose of spring weather this weekend, though temperatures may still dip overnight into the 30s.
Friday will bring sunny skies and a high temperature expected near 70 degrees, with a high of 65 Saturday and 60 on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday's low of 49 degrees will be the only nightly reprieve Chicagoans get, as temperatures are expected to drop to 33 Sunday night after dropping to 39 Friday night, forecasters say.
Sunday will also bring a 30% chance of showers before 1 p.m. That could be accompanied by winds up to 20 mph.
The rest of the week could see high temperatures in the upper 40s and mid 50s, with cloudy sky coverage until Thursday. That's when the next chance at showers is expected to come through. Thursday is forecast to reach over 60 degrees.
It comes after nearly 600 flights were canceled at O'Hare Airport earlier this week amid snow and icy conditions that followed the last bout of spring weather, which brought strong storms to the area.
