Report: Liverpool fan favourite almost certain to leave the club this summer
Federico Chiesa is ‘almost certain’ to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, marking a swift conclusion to his time on Merseyside.
According to a report from Lewis Steele for the Daily Mail, the 28-year-old Italian international is set to be part of a significant clearing of the decks at Anfield as the club prepares for yet another period of transition.

Despite joining with high expectations two years ago, Chiesa has struggled to cement a consistent place in the starting XI.
Steele noted that while fringe players like Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones face uncertain futures due to lack of minutes, Chiesa’s departure is considered a near-certainty.
With two years still remaining on his current deal, Liverpool will undoubtedly look to recoup the £12 million they invested in the winger to help fund future reinforcements.
Federico Chiesa could lead Liverpool summer exodus
The potential exit of Chiesa is merely the tip of the iceberg for a club that seems to be in a perpetual state of flux.
Last summer saw a staggering exodus, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Harvey Elliott all moving on, while the club sanctioned a massive £450 million spend on new arrivals.
However, the exodus isn’t limited to the playing staff. Steele reports that several “key figures” have unclear futures, including head coach Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes.
With stalwarts like Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate, and vice-captain Andy Robertson also entering the final stages of their contracts or facing speculation, Anfield could be braced for another total overhaul.
Federico Chiesa is a fan favourite
Despite his lack of consistent game time, Chiesa remains a genuine fan favorite among the Liverpool faithful.
His work rate and infectious energy on and off the pitch has endeared him to the fan base, with his chant among one of most sung in the stadium.
Many clubs are keen on signing him, particularly from Italy. Inter Milan and Napoli are reportedly leading the race for his signature, though a sensational return to his former club Juventus is also being discussed in the Italian media.
While his stint in the Premier League may not have reached the heights many hoped for, his technical quality ensures that Liverpool should have no shortage of suitors as they look to balance the books this June.
