Cyprus’ classic car rally approaches
Classic cars will hit the road, travelling through Cyprus’ cities and along its coastline, and all for a good cause.
Soon, the 48 Hours Cyprus Classic Car Rally will take place once again, organised by the Cyprus Classic Car Federation and supported by the eWise Cyprus Ltd – Esso Branded Supplier.
Its mission? To share the beauty of antique cars and, most importantly, to support the work of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.
On March 28 and 29, the rally will showcase classic automobiles that date back to the early 20th century, drawing car enthusiasts who want to witness them up close. Eligible to participate in the rally are vehicles aged between 20 and 29 years.
The rally will begin at the Arodafnousa Palliative Care Centre of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society on Saturday, March 28, at 11am, though the cars will be parked and ready on site from 10am, welcoming visitors who want to browse and photograph the antiques.
Saturday’s route will pass through several communities in the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca and Limassol, and finish at the Park Beach Hotel in Limassol.
On Sunday, the rally will start at 10.30 am from the Park Beach Hotel and, after a route through the surrounding area, will return to the hotel for the awards ceremony.
The participation fee is €100 per car crew (driver and co-driver), while participation for only Sunday costs €70 per crew. An additional €35 per passenger per day applies, while children under 12 pay €15 per day. The participation fee includes Sunday lunch.
Time to drive around the island for a good cause!
