Perhaps I’m late to the game, but I was today-years-old when I discovered that Starbucks had an online store. After last year’s Bearista Cup gate, I assumed that the only place you could find official merch for the iconic Seattle-based coffee brand was in their stores. But considering the mayhem it caused, it’s only right that they brought their coveted pieces to the web. And if you frequent the ‘Bucks enough, you might have early access to shop the site and its exclusive goodies, including the new Bearista collection.
Just last week, the coffee company launched its new rewards program, introducing status tiers—Green, Gold, and Reserve. Each tier offers different perks and benefits, with Green being the most basic for members who earn less than 500 stars in a single year and Reserve being the highest for members who earn 2,500 stars. And since I’m an avid coffee drinker, I was happy to know that I made it into the Reserve tier with no problem. Aside from having a bougie status attached to my app, I also have the benefit of earning more points per dollar, 30 days to redeem my birthday treat, stars that never expire (as long as I maintain my status, which is light work for me), and most importantly, access to exclusive items on the Shop Starbucks site.
This morning, I received an email with a private invitation to shop the brand-new site before anyone else. And as a professional shopper, of course, I had to click in. But I didn’t just get to shop the site first, I also got exclusive access to the new limited-edition Bearista collection. Ever since the glass bear-shaped tumbler took over the internet last year, Starbucks has decided to bring back the adorable cub, this time in mug form and on a set of cozy sweatshirts. Available in a crewneck and a hoodie, the new sweat tops feature a cute illustration of the now-iconic cup on the front or back, with the option of free personalization for Reserve members.
If you’re a Reserve Starbucks member, you can get access to these sweet pieces right now. But if you’re not, rest assured, resellers are already on the move. There’s no telling if these styles will be available to the other tiers later on, but in the meantime, take a closer look at them below and find out where else you can find them.
