Barcelona 7-2 Newcastle: Raphinha and Lewandowski braces seal the Champions League quarterfinal spot
Following an underwhelming draw in the first leg, Barcelona and Newcastle United met in an exciting second leg of the Champions League Round of 16. Needing to deliver offensively, both teams put on a five-goal spectacle in the first half. However, coach Hansi Flick managed to unsettle the English side in the second half, leading an imposing attacking display with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski scoring crucial braces.
Newcastle United dominated the first half. Taking advantage of the Blaugranas fullbacks’ weaknesses, they constantly attacked down the wings, where Lewis Hall, Harvey Barnes, and Anthony Elanga stood out.
