Lost in Space actor Maxwell Jenkins will play Fred Jones, while Dark Light star Tanner Hagen will play Norville “Shaggy” Rogers and The Pitt actress Abby Ryder Fortson will play Velma Dinkley, per Variety. (Both Tanner and Abby starred in The Pitt!)
We don’t know too much about the series just yet, except that it’s going to be a modern reimagining of the cartoon classic.
Here’s the official logline from Netflix: “A modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog. During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.”
Mckenna Grace will play Daphne
Mckenna Grace will be reprising the role that she voiced for the 2020 animated movie Scoob. She recently went viral for an interview she gave when she was 10 years old.
