Shay Mitchell Dons 'Baywatch' Red Bathing Suit to Film Rescue Scene on the Beach

Shay Mitchell was spotted in action on the set of the new Fox reboot of Baywatch!

The 38-year-old Pretty Little Liars alum was seen jumping from a lifeguard tower and springing into action on the set of the new revival series on Wednesday (March 18) in Venice Beach, Calif.

According to Deadline, Shay is a series regular this season. Her character’s name is Trina, who is a “former lawyer who walked away from a top-tier firm to dedicate herself to lifeguarding full-time. Trina is the sharpest mind on Baywatch. Passionate and dedicated, she tends to follow her heart … even if she often uses her considerable intelligence to second-guess herself.”

Here’s a synopsis of the series, via Variety: “The wild child Hobie Buchannon we all loved from the original series is now a Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch. Hobie’s world is turned upside down when Charlie, the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad. OG heartthrob Cody Madison now runs The Shoreline, the unofficially official Baywatch bar-and-grill, and still puts on the red trunks for the occasional shift saving lives. He’s a mentor to and a friend, providing a second home for his fellow lifeguards… and always offering free wings after a big save.”
