Searches for “clam chowder recipes” are up 315 percent, “carbonara buldak ramen recipe” is up 160 percent, and “Mediterranean lemon chicken soup” is up 85 percent.
People are switching to frothy, sweet drinks as well, with searches like “cold foam recipe” up 140 percent, “strawberry cold foam recipe” up 120 percent, and “cookie butter cold foam” up 55 percent.
Low-waste and whole ingredient cooking are also popular this spring. Many people are looking for ways to use “leftover spaghetti recipes” (up 570 percent), “leftover rotisserie chicken recipes easy” (up 315 percent), “leftover meatloaf recipes” (up 210 percent), and “pantry staples recipes” (up 85 percent).
Veggie-forward food is a big one this spring, with “eggplant parmesan recipe” up 785 percent, “pico de gallo recipes authentic” up 340 percent, “fried cabbage recipes easy” up 245 percent, and “roasted cauliflower recipes oven” up 200 percent.
Floral-inspired ingredients are also on the rise, with “ginger lemon turmeric shot recipe” up 300 percent, “pomegranate spritz” and “cranberry spritz” up 190 and 170 percent, respectively, “rosemary tea recipe” up 75 percent, and “lavender mocktail” up 60 percent.
People aren’t just searching for different recipe ideas — they are also looking for inspiration on where to eat their meals. Namely: cute ways to take their meals outside to soak up the spring sunshine. Searches for “cake picnic” were up 275 percent, “breakfast grazing board” up 180 percent, “picnic ideas food” up 80 percent, “picnic in the park” up 60 percent, and “picnic spread” up 50 percent.
