Keith Urban’s Post-Nicole Kidman Life Has a Twist — Insiders Say He’s a ‘Totally Different Person’
Nicole Kidman dazzled fans at the Oscars on March 15, looking every inch the movie star, but Keith Urban’s pals are delivering a different story about this post-divorce life.
The Daily Mail claimed his March 14 concert at the O2 Arena in London for a country music festival was rather joyless. “‘We’re here to friggin’ forget about our lives outside of this arena,” he shouted to the audience. Insiders are calling it a “midlife crisis” for Urban, who has reportedly “turned into a totally different person” since he split with his wife of 19 years.
“Nicole and Keith don’t really communicate,” the source told the U.K. media outlet. “Things got really bad at the end of their relationship and haven’t rebounded.” The 58-year-old country singer wanted “to live the single life,” and Kidman felt like she didn’t “know him at all anymore.”
That estrangement has reportedly carried over to his relationship with his two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Sunday’s March 2026 cover story for Elle Australia revealed a fascinating dynamic with her parents behind the scenes.
The rising model was very clear about her mom’s influence on her career and how she looked to her for guidance.
“My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do,” Sunday said while noting she loved to be in Kidman’s company.
“I’ve travelled my whole life and my mum is a really good traveller, so she has taught me how to be one, too, which makes it so fun to travel and enjoy all the different places,” she added.
The interview might have been a wakeup call for Urban, who is reportedly “just numb” from his exclusion from Sunday’s interview, per New Idea.
“Keith doesn’t know what to say, but he’s trying to put on a brave front. He knows he has to be patient; however, this latest snub – so publicly, there in black and white – has stumped him,” a source alleged. “It’s like he doesn’t exist.”
The couple’s custody agreement might not help the situation either. Page Six reported in early January that Kidman has the girls 306 days of the year, while Urban was given only 59 days per year with them. This family structure may have been an ongoing issue even ahead of the divorce.
“Sunday and Faith love their dad dearly,” a Star Magazine source noted in October 2025. “But they’re feeling very loyal to their mom right now, and they’ve made it their mission to be by her side.”
