EGO is pushing the limits on the cutting power and capacity you can get out of a battery powered walk-behind lawn mower with the newest addition to its line-up of battery-powered mowers–the EGO 1300 Series 30-Inch self propelled lawn mower. This beast is fitted with two 15-inch blades that sit inside a huge 30-inch deck, putting it on par with the largest walk-behind mowers we’ve seen, gas or otherwise, including the Toro eTimeMaster and Ryobi 80V HP 30-inch mower. EGO’s largest residential walk-behind mower will be available at such retailers as Lowe’s and Ace Hardware starting this month.

Twin Engine Cutting Power
The EGO 1300’s blades are powered by two separate motors, and it uses two 56-volt ARC lithium 6.0Ah batteries that EGO says makes it more powerful than a 200cc gas lawn mower. With those large capacity mowers, it gets a whopping 75 minutes of runtime on a single charge.

LED controls on the handlebar allow you to select between three blade speeds, including ECO, Normal, and Turbo modes, so you can set it up for cutting power or preserve battery life. Dial controls allow you to adjust the self-propelled speed on the fly, and there’s also a set of LED headlights for late evening mowing.
The 1300 also gives you plenty of options for cutting height with nine cutting height positions that range from 1 inch to 5 inches. You can mulch, bag, or side discharge with the mower.

Is the EGO Power+ 30-inch Mower a Good Deal?
The POWER+ 30-inch mower is a little more affordable than other large gas and battery powered walk behind lawn mowers we’ve seen with a retail price of $1,800. In comparison, Ryobi’s 30-inch battery-powered mower and the Toro eTimeMaster both retail for $2,000. That lower price coupled with its impressive power makes the EGO POWER+ 30-inch mower worth the investment if you have a large yard to mow and want to make the switch from gas to electric.
