Taylor Frankie Paul is speaking out for the first time since news broke that she’s being investigated for domestic assault after an alleged altercation with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
It was revealed this week that the Draper City Police Department in Utah is in the midst of an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Taylor and Dakota. The spokesperson confirmed that “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th.”
The former couple dated on and off from 2022 until 2024 and share 1-year-old son Ever.
Amid the investigation, filming for the new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been put on hold and sources have spoken out about how the other women are reacting to the news.

“Honestly, just like, my heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time,” Taylor told People on Tuesday (March 17) at a press even in New York City.
She continued, “Just the timing is hard, and it’s a big deal. I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one… it’s extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today. ”
“It’s just heavy. It’s a heavy time, and it’s unfortunate,” Taylor added. “I’m struggling for sure, but also at the same time I feel like if I don’t show up, then I’m just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we’ve worked on and something super exciting that’s coming. I just feel like it was the right thing to do… show up even though it’s hard.”
The new season of The Bachelorette, featuring Taylor as the lead woman, premieres on ABC this Sunday.
