Showery flatness
Hello Friends,
I didn’t see anyone in the water this morning between Manly and Long Reef. Surface conditions were looking good, but all the other factors are against us this morning. The Botany Bay wave buoy was showing 1.6 metres from the south at 8 seconds. Wind was from the SW at 7-13 kts as of 1000. Tide hit a very swampy 1..8 m high at 0840. Put it all together, and you get what the pictures show.
The swell doesn’t look like improving for Sydney until next week. But, if the swell models are right, we could see a building easterly component from around next Wednesday…
Here’s hoping.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over northern coastal waters, while a trough is brushing the southern and central parts of the coast, bringing a coastal southerly change in its wake, before stalling about the Hunter Coast later today. Then, a series of high pressure systems will pass to the south, maintaining moist onshore easterly winds through the second half of the week.
