A Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate is wanted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe ahead of the summer transfer window.
Despite always being thought of highly while coming through the ranks at Tottenham, Troy Parrott had to leave the North London club to fulfil his potential.
Spurs sold the striker in a £6.7m deal to AZ Alkmaar in 2024, and that has been a huge bargain for the Dutch club, for whom the centre-forward has netted 46 goals and provided 12 assists in 85 appearances.
It appears that Parrott’s heroics at AZ have not gone unnoticed at a couple of elite clubs around Europe.
Tottenham may face a tough fight to bring Troy Parrott back
Ahead of the January window, it was reported that Spurs were ready to spend £30m to bring Parrott back to the club, but the Lilywhites did not appear to make any advances towards their former player.
Tottenham may no longer find a deal for the striker to be straightforward, as Football Insider now reports that the AZ man is attracting interest from across the continent.
The report says that AC Milan remain keen on adding a new number nine to their squad after having missed out on Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta in January.
The Rossoneri have now allegedly set their sights on Parrott, as have Borussia Dortmund, who have identified the 24-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Serhou Guirassy.
Finally, it is revealed that PSV Eindhoven are also keeping tabs on the former Tottenham Hotspur striker, having already had their advances for the player knocked back by AZ in January.
Premier League clubs ready to bring Parrott back to England
The Republic of Ireland international is also thought to be on the radar of several Premier League clubs.
Leeds United reportedly held talks over a deal for Parrott ahead of the January window and also had an offer for the player turned down last summer.
West Ham and Wolves also previously explored a move for the former Spurs man, and the Lilywhites would benefit financially from his transfer. This is because Tottenham have a 20 per cent sell-on clause on Parrott.
