Jelly Roll's Wife Apologizes for Bert Kreischer Facelift Joke After Comedian's Bus Fire
Comedy is all about timing—and, on Monday, Jelly Roll's wife Bunnie Xo picked the wrong time to crack a joke about comedian Bert Kreischer.
The author, who has been married to Jelly Roll since 2016, took to social media this week to share some raw, unfiltered footage of herself as she underwent a facelift.
In the video, the 46-year-old was seen rocking a hospital gown with markings all over her face before going under the knife. The footage then cuts to her after surgery, with her swollen face wrapped in bandages.
She captioned the video, "I look like Bert Kreischer."
Bert Kreischer's Bus Fire
Bunnie Xo's joke came just hours after Kreischer posted about a near-death experience on Instagram, in which his tour bus caught fire.
He explained that the tire on the bus ripped off the rim after a tour stop in Fargo, North Dakota. After waiting for a few hours, they left that bus behind and kept driving toward Cedar Rapids in another vehicle.
While the bus driver was still waiting for a new tire, the bus burst into flames. Though the driver got out quickly, Kreischer said it could have been fatal had the rest of them stayed on board.
“Here’s the good thing to know, had we slept on that bus, we all would have been trapped in the back and be dead today,” he explained. “Yesterday, we would have been dead yesterday.”
Bunnie Xo Apologizes
It seems Bunnie Xo caught some flack for mentioning Kreischer in her video, as she soon took to her comments to clarify what she meant by name dropping him.
“I was asleep when the Bert bus happened,” she wrote.
“would never make fun of my friends sadness,” her comment continued. “I was meaning bc I'm red and eyes are swollen. S/o to my boy @bertkreischer we love you.”
Kreischer himself hasn't commented on the video.

She later shared more video from the doctor's office, showing off just how much filler she still had in her face after previously having some of it dissolved. She previously said she hasn't had any filler since the “early 2000s.”
Though Bunnie Xo has been very open about her regrets when it comes to plastic surgery she's had in the past, she's also been very adamant about getting a facelift when she turned 46.
“Yes, I love natural bodies,” she said on her Dumb Blonde podcast back in January. “I preach against, you know, plastic surgery that I've had that I wish I hadn't gotten. A facelift is not one of them. If you have listened to previous podcasts, I have literally said for the past 3 years, I'm going to get a facelift when I'm 46.”
As for why she got the facelift, she said a red carpet moment where her “eye was wonky” solidified her decision. She also explained that her eyelids sometimes get so swollen, one of her friends had to lift them up to put on makeup. “It's literally hindering my life,” she explained, adding that she'll always be transparent with her choices.
