A New and Refined Audi Haus Returns to CIAS 2026
Audi x SHARP
Let’s face it, it’s a huge year at Audi. While the brand prepares for the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season, the all-new Audi Q3 hit Canadian showrooms with refreshed designs. We expected Audi to make a splash at this year’s Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, and they delivered in spades. Expanding on the concept of last year’s Audi Haus, VIP guests of the official opening night were welcomed into a grand and immersive world of innovation, of high design, and Vorsprung durch Technik — Audi’s famed tag line, translating to Progress through Technology.
The VIP launch event proved memorable, with the R26 Formula 1 car taking centre stage for its official first unveiling in Canada. Between its significant performances in Group B Rally, Le Mans endurance racing, and of course its 2025 win at the Dakar Rally with the electrified RS Q e-tron, Audi’s history in motorsport is a strong one. Lately, the buzz surrounding Formula 1 has spread like wildfire, and Audi fans and owners are brimming with excitement as the first race of the season approaches.
On the other end of the automotive spectrum, the all-new Audi Q3 made its second stop in Canada after breaking cover at the Montreal Auto Show earlier this year. The new subcompact SUV is the latest entry to the Audi lineup, boasting a fresh exterior and interior alongside a new powertrain, as well as significant other updates to onboard tech and convenience features.
Alongside these two hero vehicles, Audi didn’t simply fill the remaining booth with existing models and call it a day. Instead, the automaker delivered on its promise to innovate as evidenced by a showcase of cutting-edge technology — including holographic visuals, turbo charged engine performance, and rigorously-tested aerodynamic designs. In the words of Audi, its purpose is to deliver automotive experiences engineered to make you feel. Through a series of additional installations at the Auto Show, Audi’s innovation-first ethos was impossible to miss.
Perhaps one of the most unique elements of Audi Haus (other than the F1 car appearance, of course) is the hologram host, which welcomed attendees into Audi Haus. This virtual host guided guests into the centre of the display, where the broader immersive experience began. Forward-thinking technology only augmented the futuristic vision of the Audi Haus, drawing drivers in for a peek at the brand’s use of holographic displays.
On one side of the R26, a Wind Tunnel Test display showcased the impeccable aerodynamics of the all-new A6, demonstrating the rigorous wind tunnel testing that Audi used to achieve the A6’s refined form. It’s one of the most aerodynamic internal combustion engines ever produced by Audi.
Elsewhere within Audi Haus, things shifted towards performance with the RS3 Dyno Test installation, highlighting the powerful and precise engineering of the Audi RS3. A different kind of sensory experience allowed visitors to hear the distinct roar of the 394-horsepower turbo-charged 5-cylinder engine that powers the RS3.
As one might expect, Audi’s display at the Canadian International Auto Show attracted automotive enthusiasts in droves.
