Zendaya Addresses Viral Wedding Rumors With Tom Holland—and It’s Not What You Think
Actors Zendaya and Tom Holland are one of those Hollywood power couples fans love to keep up with. Most recently, the duo made many headlines by sparking marriage rumors after Zendaya was spotted wearing—what appeared to be—a wedding band while attending Essence’s Black Women in Hollywood Event, according to PEOPLE. In addition to that, the actress’s stylist, Law Roach, claimed at the Actor Awards on March 1 that the duo had already tied the knot.
But did the couple really get married during a private ceremony? Roach was quoted saying, “The wedding has already happened,” adding, “You missed it.”
Zendaya Responds to Viral ‘Wedding Photos’ With Tom Holland
Zendaya appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, March 16, to promote her new film, The Drama. During her interview with Kimmel, the actress shared that “many people” thought AI-generated photos showing hers and Tom Holland’s “wedding” were the real deal.
The star added, “I was out and about in real life and people are like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are really gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe they’re AI.’ They're not real.’”
Zendaya even trolled fans by sharing a video to "clear the confusion." In the clip, Holland's head is displayed over her co-star Robert Pattinson's in The Drama, a film about an upcoming wedding.
According to PEOPLE, Zendaya has not yet officially confirmed that she and Holland have tied the knot.
Zendaya and Tom Holland’s Relationship Timeline
The duo was first romantically linked in 2016 after being cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Holland channeled the iconic role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Zendaya starred as his love interest, Michelle Jones-Watson (MJ). According to PEOPLE, the actors originally described themselves as being close friends before officially confirming their relationship in 2021, when they were seen kissing off-screen.
Holland previously shared with The Hollywood Reporter that the couple prefers to keep some parts of their relationship behind closed doors.
“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," he told the outlet. "We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
Fast-forward to January 5, 2025, when Zendaya was seen rocking a diamond ring at the Golden Globes—and PEOPLE confirmed the actress was engaged.
The Actors Are Thriving in Their Careers
Fans love keeping up with Zendaya and Holland on and off the big screen—and the duo has been crushing it in their careers.

Follow along as the sun rises around the world and our Spider-Man community helps kick off the trailer launch for #SpiderManBrandNewDay!"
