CAPSBOLD supports Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (EUTA2026) hosted by the Cyprus University of Technology
Cyprus welcomed international students as part of an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) designed to bridge academic research with professional advertising execution, organized by the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) in Limassol. The program was supported by award-winning creative marketing agency CAPSBOLD, whose team contributed industry expertise to the initiative.
Centered on the core challenge of the BIP, “Discover Cyprus: Branding a Destination,” participants worked in 8 international teams to develop communication concepts aimed at promoting Cyprus among audiences aged 18–25, combining research insights with strategy and creative thinking. Participants represented universities from across Europe, including Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), Riga Technical University (Latvia), Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale (Italy), Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Inholland University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands), AP Hogeschool Antwerpen (Belgium) and CEU Cardenal Herrera University (Spain).
CAPSBOLD supported the program and contributed to its academic agenda. As part of the program, Oksana Baykova, Senior Brand Strategy Manager at CAPSBOLD, delivered a guest lecture for the students, sharing insights into how strategic thinking connects data, audience understanding, and creativity when building strong brands. Oksana commented:“Education becomes much more impactful when students can connect theory with real industry practice. Programs like this give students the opportunity to test their ideas against real challenges and learn how strategic thinking works beyond the classroom. It’s also exciting to see initiatives like this taking place in Cyprus and bringing together international students and industry experts.”
The program concluded with student project presentations evaluated by a jury that included CAPSBOLD team members Denis Lukyanov, Product Marketing Lead, and Elizaveta Balakireva, SMM Lead. Denis and Elizaveta noted: “It was impressive to see how each team approached the challenge differently. In just one week, the students developed a wide range of creative and strategic ideas for promoting Cyprus. What makes it even more remarkable is that most of them came from different countries and had little prior knowledge of Cyprus as a destination, yet they managed to quickly research the market and propose thoughtful and diverse solutions.”
Yioula Melanthiou, Associate Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology and organizer of the program, highlighted the importance of industry participation in academic initiatives: “Collaboration with industry partners such as CAPSBOLD allows our students to see how strategic thinking and branding operate in real professional environments. Their participation brought an important practical dimension to the program.”
Nina Petrova, Senior PR Manager at CAPSBOLD, emphasised the value of connecting education and professional practice: “The CAPSBOLD team was delighted to take part in this initiative. We work closely with many local brands and were glad to share our experience and insights with students. We strongly believe that opportunities for students to interact with industry experts and learn from real-world practice are incredibly valuable. We hope this program will become a great starting point for further collaboration with universities and educational initiatives.”
